CICC CHAPTERS
OUR CHAPTER PARTNERS
Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs (CSHBA)
As a founding partner of the Careers In Construction Colorado (CICC) program, the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs (CSHBA) has played a pivotal role since 2015. What began with one high school has now expanded to 18 schools in the Pikes Peak region, engaging over 900 students daily.
CSHBA also leads the CICC Home Build Program, where students construct a 1,200-square-foot modular home in their school parking lot. With materials and labor donated by CSHBA members, students gain invaluable hands-on experience, preparing them for careers in construction.
Associated General Contractors & Construction Education Foundation (AGC/CEF)
The Associated General Contractors and Construction Education Foundation (AGC/CEF) were the first official chapter of the Careers In Construction Colorado (CICC) program and have been instrumental in its growth since 2018. Starting with just one school, they have rapidly expanded their reach to 25 schools across the Denver Metro area, with over 900 students participating in CICC programs daily.
As one of the founding partners, AGC/CEF continues to lead the way in connecting students with real-world construction education, helping to prepare the next generation of skilled professionals for rewarding careers in the industry.
BUILT NoCo – Northern Colorado Home Builders Association (NoCo HBA)
The Northern Colorado Home Builders Association (NoCo HBA) became a Careers In Construction Colorado (CICC) chapter in 2022. Starting with just three schools, NoCo HBA has expanded to serve all of Northern Colorado, now reaching 11 schools with over 300 students enrolled in CICC programs.
As a key chapter, NoCo HBA is dedicated to advancing construction education throughout the region, providing students with the hands-on skills and opportunities they need for successful careers in the industry.
SUMMIT COUNTY BUILDERS ASSOCIATION (SCBA)
The Summit County Builders Association (SCBA) became a Careers In Construction Colorado (CICC) chapter in 2022 and proudly supports Summit High School. Since joining CICC, SCBA has formed an exceptional partnership with Colorado River BOCES’ EPIC program, enabling students to participate in a Tiny Home Program. Through this initiative, students build a 288-square-foot tiny home, gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of construction, from the foundation to the finishing touches.
SCBA’s building community is incredibly involved, contributing over 1,600 volunteer hours in the past school year alone for just one school—55% of the total volunteer hours for the entire CICC program. Their dedication ensures that students receive invaluable experience and support from industry professionals.
Housing and Building Association of Western Colorado (HBAWC)
The Housing and Building Association of Western Colorado (HBAWC) is the newest addition to the Careers In Construction Colorado (CICC) family, joining in 2024. Despite being a new chapter, HBAWC has already onboarded three schools and has an impressive list of prospects for the upcoming school year.
Excitement is high among HBAWC members, who are eager to support CICC on the Western Slope and are enthusiastic about hiring the students from their programs. This new chapter is set to make a significant impact in the region, expanding opportunities for students and fostering a strong connection between education and the construction industry.
