Harbor Freight Tools For Schools
The mission of Harbor Freight Tools for Schools is to increase understanding, support and investment in skilled trades education in U.S. public high schools.
The annual Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence® awards $1.5 million to 25 outstanding U.S. public high school skilled trades teachers and their programs. The prize recognizes outstanding instruction in the skilled trades and the valuable work of teachers who inspire students to learn a trade that prepares them for life after graduation. Prizewinners join a national network of skilled trades teachers who convene throughout the year, including Let’s Build It,® a four-day summer convening to share best practices and develop new ideas to advance high school skilled trades education.
Naturally, the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools mission and values aligns with Careers In Construction. As a result, we have had 5 winners of the prize! Three in the 2023-2024 school year, and two in the 2024-2025 school year!
